Software to aid in the generation of chiyogami.

Chiyogami styles vary, but may be generally characterized as repetitive though rarely could they be described as mosaic. They are usually colorful yet not loud, but you can find find many examples of dark patterns. Sometimes multiple patterns are layered.

Also similar is yuzen, which was originally and still is used for fabric design, but also for paper proofs. These designs often include more gold elements as either gilded masks or threads.
