125 g. wheat berries 50 g. white beans (dried) 50 g. dried peas 50 g. rice 200 g. sugar 50 g. raisins 50 g. dried apricots 50 g. dried figs 50 g. almonds 50 g. walnuts 1 pomegranate 2 tablespoons rose water 2 tablespoons potato starch
- Soak berries, beans, and peas overnight.
- Cook slowly the wheat berries for 5-6 hours, always covered with water.
- Cook beans, peas, and rice in abundant water (salted) for 1-1/2 hours.
- Place a colander over a large pot.
- Pour the beans etc. into the colander; reserve liquid.
- Add enough liquid to pot to have 1 liter.
- Add sugar to liquid, place on heat, and dissolve.
- Dissolve potato starch in a little water, and add to liquid.
- Add beans, etc.
- Chop apricots, figs, walnuts, and add.
- Add rose water and raisins.
- Cook for 20 minutes, low.
- Spoon into cups; let cool.
- Decorate with pomegranate seeds and eat.
