Normal Saline is a solution of 0.90% w/v of NaCl, 300 mOsm/L, or 9.0 g NaCl per liter of water.

This is concentration is approximately equal to a solution made with 1-1/2 teaspoons of salt mixed in 1 cup (8 ounces) of water.
